Energy Transition Role for Liquefied Petroleum Gas

Kazakhstan, one of Central Asia’s leading energy producers, holds a significant position in the global hydrocarbon sector. While the country is widely recognized for its oil and natural gas reserves, it also produces substantial volumes of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), a versatile energy product with growing domestic and international demand.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas, commonly referred to as LPG, is a mixture of hydrocarbon gases—primarily propane and butane—derived from natural gas processing and crude oil refining. It is widely used as a cleaner-burning fuel for heating, cooking, transportation, and industrial applications. Due to its relatively low emissions compared to coal or fuel oil, LPG is gaining importance as part of the global transition toward more sustainable energy sources.
